Compassionate, Somatic-Based Grief Support

Experience a different approach to grief support through Katy’s Mindful Grieving Yoga Therapy Programs. These programs, based on the Center for Somatic Grieving’s curriculum, follow an evolutionary progression that will guide you through a process of self-inquiry, to not only move through your grief, but to experience greater clarity and understanding of your purpose and life path.  Going through a loss might cause you to question or even redefine your identity.  Through the support of a loving community, you will be guided to surrender to the flow of life and discover new parts of yourself.

Awakening to grief: virtual 6-Week mindful grieving yoga therapy program

A powerful introduction to Katy’s compassionate, somatic-based approach for grief and loss of all kinds. Within a supportive, closed-group container, you will be guided to observe where you hold grief in your body and how to witness your sensations, emotions, and thoughts without judgement.  Because it’s necessary to feel grief in order to process it, this program strives to teach you how to begin to be present with yourself (even when it is painful) and to receive the wisdom that can only come from within.

Each week, we will meet for 2 hours and use the following tools to support us in our self-inquiry:

  • Guided Meditation

  • Journaling 

  • Group Sharing 

  • Yoga / Movement 

  • Relaxation / Integration 

Throughout the 6 weeks, we will explore the following themes:

  • Creating a Safe Container to Grieve In

  • Presence & Body Awareness

  • Unconditional Love & Acceptance

  • Grief as a Teacher

  • Evolution of Identity Through Grief

  • The Process of Change

virtual community circles for grief & loss

Katy offers monthly, drop-in community circles as an online space for real-time connection, sharing, and reflection on grief and loss of all kinds. This is an opportunity for you to be witnessed in your grief journey and to witness others with compassion and aloha.

Each month, we will meet for an hour and Katy will start the circle with a reflection or reading related to grief and loss. We will use the following tools to support us in our self-inquiry:

  • Guided Meditation

  • Journaling 

  • Group Sharing 

  • Integration

DEEPENING tHE JOURNEY: virtual 6-MONTH mindful grieving yoga therapy program

This series builds upon the 6-Week Mindful Grieving Program to take you deeper into your body in a quest for greater self-inquiry and healing. Each week’s topic is intentionally sequenced to guide you through the different aspects of your grief journey as you get to know and love yourself more fully in the process.

Each week for 24 weeks (6 months), we will meet for 2 hours and use the following tools to support us in our self-inquiry:

  • Guided Meditation

  • Journaling 

  • Group Sharing 

  • Yoga / Movement 

  • Relaxation / Integration 

Throughout the 6 months, we will deepen our inquiry into the following topics:

  • Moving through Grief & Embodying One’s Truth

  • Welcoming Your Emotions

  • Self-Care & Nuturing Yourself

  • Self-Love & Forgiveness

  • Exploring the Shadow

  • Deepening Your Understanding of Your Purpose
